Ed Hickey

With over thirty years in financial planning, Ed believes that great financial advice starts with great conversations. As a Certified Financial Planner, he finds genuine joy in getting to know his clients — not just their numbers, but their priorities: family, health, charitable giving, and the values that guide their decisions.

He specializes in helping clients navigate life's pivotal moments — a career change, a new baby, buying or selling a home, or the transition into retirement — all of which call for thoughtful financial planning and a fresh look at what matters most. His approach is simple: take complex financial matters and make them clear, so clients can feel confident and stress-free about their future.

Ed has a Bachelor of Journalism (Hons) degree from King’s College and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), from Saint Mary’s University. Ed was a competitive hockey player and coach, and that same discipline and team-first mindset still shows up in how he works with clients today. Ed hails from Glace Bay and is very proud of his two kids – Madison and Jacob. Ed now resides in Bedford, NS where he stays active and enjoys life with his wife, Dana, and her kids Mya and Wesley.
